Welcome to Cache Valley Cruise-In 2008
General Information The following information describes the various events and activities that make up the Cache Valley Cruise-In. We will try to keep this information updated, but actual events at the Cruise-In may differ from the following descriptions. For further information or questions please call the CVCA hotline at (435) 787-7414 or email at cruise@cachevalleycruisein.com. Logan City ordinance prohibits the use of alcohol on the fairgrounds. Please observe this law, it will be enforced.
Thursday Activities
Poker Run
The Poker Run is planned to be routed through Logan Canyon to Bear Lake and Garden City. The Poker Run starts from the Baugh Motel at 2:00 pm with checkpoints along the way. Cars will be allowed to leave until 4:00 pm. Awards will be given.
Dutch Oven Dinner
A Dutch Oven chicken dinner will be provided for participants of the poker run. The dinner costs $9.00 per adult and $6.00 per child (under 8). If you pre-registered for the show you should have 2 meal tickets in your bag.
Sock Hop
A Sock Hop dance hosted by J.C. Hackett will be at the Fairgrounds from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, allowing for participants to return for the Poker Run. Prizes will be awarded for best 50's era costume and dance.Friday Activities Driving Events The Driving Events and Fun Run coincide this year with a July 4th parade in Hyrum City. Hyrum is located about 5 miles south of Logan on SR-165. The parade is a valley favorite with thousands of local people in attendance. The parade beings at noon and the CVCA has arranged parade spaces so that Cruise-In participants with their vehicles may be part of the event. So come along with us to be a part of this fun event! Meet at the information booth and we will caravan to Hyrum leaving the fairgrounds about 10:30 am. Following the parade there are 4th of July activities all day in Hyrum at the City square, or you can return to the fairgrounds. Swap Meet and Commercial Booths The Swap Meet opens at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in area 16 in the fairgrounds diagram. Swap meet includes used automotive equipment, memorabilia, and cars for sale. The Swap Meet is not for commercial vendors. Commercial vendors are also open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in and around area 9. Kids Games Kids games are provided for participants children are scheduled from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the building shown in area 1 in the fairgrounds diagram. There will be lots of fun and games and activities for children 3 yrs to 12 yrs to enjoy, with lots of prizes for all the children. BBQ Dinner by Coppermill The BBQ will be held in the pavilion on the fairgrounds at 5:00 p.m. Each dinner is a mesquite chicken & pulled pork with all the trimmings at a cost of $14.00 per adult, $8.00 per child 8 and under. Meal tickets are in your goodie bag for those who prepaid for meals when they pre-registered. Extra meals available at Steak Fry while supplies last.
