The Cache Valley Cruise-In is a rod run event held annually in Logan, Utah (90 miles north of Salt Lake City) and is hosted by the Cache Valley Cruising Association. All types and models of specialty vehicles are invited to attend. It all started in 1982 with a group of five people working together to organize the first Cache Valley Cruise-In. It has grown each successive year and is now attracting over 1000 vehicles which include Street Rods, Street Machines, Customs, Restored Vehicles, Motorcycles, and Trucks, while spectator attendance has risen to more than 30,000 people. The three day event is held at Logan/Cache Fairgrounds, the first Saturday in July.
The Cache Valley Cruise-In has been gaining in popularity and attendance because of the quality of the show cars and the giveaway cars. The giveaway car is a year-long project undertaken by the Cache Valley Cruising Association and sponsored by many businesses both local and national. Proceeds from the show go toward the next year's show, next years project car, and other club activities.
Show admittance is $6.00 each for anyone age 18 and over. Your admittance ticket gives you a chance at the yearly giveaway car. A ticket is good for all 3 days of the show. The meals and games/driving events are designed for show participants only.
The Cache Valley Cruising Association is a family oriented car club consisting of about 50 member families. Club members have skills and interests related to automotive hobbies, and a great desire to promote the sport of hot rodding through community and public service. While the Cruise-In is the primary activity of the CVCA, our members associate regularly through the year at weekly cruise nights, monthly club meetings, holiday and other activities.
The CVCA was organized in 1982 along with the first Cruise-In (known until 1990 as Logan’s Run). We incorporated in 1991 as a nonprofit organization governed by a set of bylaws that provide for a club president and board of directors. Our membership is made of member families that have a strong commitment to hosting a high quality cruise-In for the participants, spectators, and event sponsors. We really enjoy meeting fellow street rodders and make this event the most fun and best car show ever attended. We feel we have been very successful in our efforts as the public and community reception of our event has been terrific, event sponsor have provided substantial support though monetary and product donations, and the participants bring their outstanding and valuable vehicle to our show for all to see and enjoy. Many participants have said that our show is one of the most fun and most relaxed shows they have ever attended, with the best meals, entertainment, and activities. The CVCA members host the Cruise-In without pay or compensation except for a heartfelt thank you. Over the course of the Cruise-In each member typically donates about 40 hours of time.
